About Me
Hi, I’m Ellis Richards – a certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant
Helping families achieve better sleep is more than just my job—it’s something I care deeply about. I know how exhausting and overwhelming it can feel when your baby isn’t sleeping, and how much it can affect your whole world. That’s why I’m here: to offer support, reassurance, and sleep solutions that are gentle, respectful, and made just for you.
A Bit About My Journey
This year, my husband and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy—our long-awaited IVF miracle. Becoming a mum myself has been the most incredible experience and has given me a whole new level of understanding for the emotional toll sleep deprivation can take. I also know how important it is to feel supported, heard, and not alone in those tough moments. Alongside our son is our fur baby, Jax the Cavoodle, who’s stepped up as a proud and gentle big brother.
Before becoming a sleep consultant, I spent over 15 years working with children—as a daycare educator, nanny, children’s activities rep and behavioural management classes. Throughout my career, I’ve always been passionate about supporting little ones and their families, and now I feel incredibly lucky to combine that passion with helping families find calm and confidence through better sleep.
A Gentle, Heart-Led Approach
My approach is completely gentle, responsive, and emotionally supportive—because I know how much your baby means to you. There are no cry-it-out methods here. Instead, I focus on building trust, connection, and confidence—both for you and your child.
As a mum myself, I understand how sensitive this journey can be. It’s not just about sleep—it’s about your baby feeling safe and secure, and you feeling empowered, supported, and understood. I work hand-in-hand with you to create a plan that suits your baby’s needs and your parenting style, while supporting you through every step with care, compassion, and no pressure.
Every family is different, and so are their sleep goals. My role is to listen to what’s important to you and guide you toward achieving it. Over the years, I’ve seen that each parent has their own expectations and comfort levels—what feels right for one family may not for another. For example, some parents are happy to replace a dummy during the night, while others would prefer not to. Or one family wants to stay next to their child until they have fallen asleep when others want to say their good nights and walk out the room.
That’s why, in our very first call, I always begin by asking: What does your ideal sleep situation look like? From there, we create a plan that works for your family—supportive, realistic, and tailored to your needs.
Why I Started my own Sleep Consulting business
The inspiration behind my infant sleep business began with my niece, Billie. I met her for the first time during a visit back to the UK, and at six months old, she was beginning her sleep journey. Seeing the positive impact it had on her—and on her parents—truly opened my eyes to the life-changing power of sleep. That experience planted the seed for what would become my career and calling.
It’s just me you speak too - no call centres or generic advice. You’ll receive one-on-one, dedicated support from someone who truly cares. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or just plain exhausted, I’m here in real time to guide you with warmth, patience, and a personalised plan that feels right for your family.
I’m so glad you’re here. When you’re ready, I’d be honoured to support you and your little one on your journey to more restful nights.
